Techno Genre

Techno music came out in the 1980's, it was influenced by the popular electronic music from the 70's in Detriot, where this type of music was born. Techno was used mostly for the clubs, it gave an urban take on music of German Musicians. The style emerged to what it became when musicians took cheap, used electronic instruments and abused them in ways never intended to get the type of music that they got. Since techno hit the clubs in Chicago and New York it was popular throughout the whole 80's. Back in their days people like:
-Juan Atkins
-Kevin Saunderson &
-Derrick May

Were known as the “Belleville Three” They were the top of techno music. One of the best known early techno songs is "Alleys of your Mind", by techno artists Cybotron. Works from Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson. Sadly didn't make the charts, but were very effective because they were played in major clubs in the US. In 1988. Now days, we have dj’s that mostly do techno’s. Example: DJ Blend, he is a well known techno/electro dj. He has many mixes that hit up the clubs of our days, people love and enjoy his work a lot.
Here are a few of his mixes. (If interested)
* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtovqcYKW2Y called club mix
* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzjFQhj2aFY * NEW MIX. Called Swagga mix

There is many types of techno music that goes under that genre of music here are some examples of different types:
- House - Disco
- electro - Industrial
- Technonic - Dumpstep
These all fit under techno music because they are the same type of thing just different kind of sounds and beats to their songs.

The value of this genre is mainly to give a happy upbeat feeling. The point of this type of music is to make you feel the beat and just let go to the song the way you want. Listing to Techno always puts people in a better mood and makes them express themselves their own way. Techno has maybe changed a little, like the songs and sounds but the value of this genre will never change.

copy writing

In this indenstry everyone copy writes with out even knowing it. I doupt younger kids who want music on their ipod knows that they are doing a crime.I think that being able to add music on our computers and ipods should be as okay as buying a CD. I do not think that when people keep adding songs to their playlists by downloading them will make them think it is their own creation. Using Girl Talk as an example, that "band" creates his own creation by taking parts of other already created songs. He remix's it in his own way. D-j's remix songs all the time, making their own kind of songs by doing the same thing as girl talk pretty much. Taking songs mixing them with their own beats and sounds. Why dont we hear of d-j's copy writting? There is d-j's out there that take songs from well known artist and remix's them their own way. I find that if d-j's, girl talk, or anyone out there that does and enjoyes the same thing are allowed and are able to take songs to help them create their own stuff. Wouldint artist be admired with people loving their work? Using what they made to make other types of music?

I think that poeple take it out of hand because if they make the music already availble to the internet obviously people will want to download so they can beable to lsiten to it when ever they want. If copy writing is so wrong why dont they have frostwire, limewire and any other sites put down and illegal to have as a site? They should make it impossible to download so people can give up and the government can be satisfied.

After seeing this film i think that copy writing in that kind of way is okay. If he took the whole songs and mixed them all together would be different because that is taking the whole creation. Since he only takes parts or certain sounds from songs it is not as bad. I think that is a creative way to create a new type of music.If songs are posted online it gives us a more of an oportutiny to use it. If artisits did not want their art or work online for people to hear or see then why would they even post it up making it availible? They should not be surprised that people are into what they have done since they made it availible to the whole net. If someone took my full art work to make it their own thing it would be upsetting knowing they are getting money for something i did. If someone took parts from my art and people know the true artist then it does not matter to me because people know that I was the artist of it and if they know the true artist and know that the "remix" artist is not the one who made it then thats all that should matter. People should be able to do what they want but there is a limit to copy writing, but in this film i find that what he is doing IS his own creation just getting insipred by the songs out there.
